Hey hey hey hey hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated this blog in a while, things have been mega-hectic after it was Christmas and I've been working on my album on China and I am happy to report that my album is now finished!!! It's taken me close to six years but it is finally done!!! I just had such a creative burst here in China, I have been so inspired by its rolling mountains and ancient rivers and dead dolphins and rapidly-expanding cities.
I have played two more gigs as well and it all went really well!!! On Christmas I ate some food, and then I phoned my family and friends! I drank some tea and needed to piss a lot- oh China!!! Me and Liu Zhang bought some fake rolex watches from some street dealers which I was informed was a really good deal!!! China is fun! China has many large buildings and one day I hope to enter one. However, for now I had to be content with the medium-sized buildings I have played gigs in.
When Chinese people eat they eat in a simple, communal way, always with other people who they exchange food with first. This is stark contrast to us FUCKERS in Britain who always eat alone, standing up, usually in small, enclosed spaces unless absolutely necessarily like at the 'snack booths' you get at airports, urgh!!! What is odd is occassionally you will see white people advertising products, this is apparently because it is 'better'.
Liu Zhang likes it when I play gigs because I'm quick at soundchecking!!! Later, I ate some food, and then we had some more food.
This conlcldes my thoughts for the day. See you in another city, folks!!!! Hey check this BITCH out: http://www.zshare.net/audio/534283582d26d55c/
I feel hungry. Maybe I'll eat some more food. Today I had some food and then I had some more food food food food food. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY FOOD. I 'skyped' some friends and then ate some food. Goodbye!

Day 2- China
Had to get up really early today!!! However it was OK as I ate some noodles (They have lots of Chinese food in China!!!) and got to worko n a new song. It is called 'I Am Tom Vek, Hear Me Roar (Larks In Winter)' and you can hear it below at the end of the article because I will put a link there when I am done writing this!!! It was written on some special Chinese instruments which I think you might be able to tell, but luckily I still have my trusty laptop to record it on!
As Tom Vek, I am a globally known face and this can particularly cause problems in China where everyone has mostly quite different faces to me. As a result I have been travelling in a variety of masks. My favourite is one of a 'bear'. I like the bear as it is both an aggressive and a lonely animal, I think a lot like me! Last night I stayed with a German woman and her 'livewire' son- he would mess about! I think maybe I was like that as a child, but its a long time ago and my memory was soft and underdeveloped so I can't quite remember.
Train stations are huge, and as I approached I got a weird sensation in my knees and then they became damaged. Liu Zhang said: "you are Tom Vek, you have to keep going" so I did. However, on the train I could feel my knees falling off which often happens in the cold in Asia or so I am told! In China all the trains are huge, their tracks are over double in size and cover almost 2/3 of the country. I am surprised they have any space to fit in roadS! And, sure enough, I have yet to see a Chinese road. It really is quite the cultural shock! Ouch!
I then ate some more food when I got there (from the train station!) and it was really good- we had beans, and meat (I hate vegietarians so fuck off if you are one you cuntS!!!!). In China much of what you do is eat food and I also keep in contact with friends! It is Christmas Eve but in China No-One has ever heard of Christmas which creates an eerie atmosphere, a bit like if you've invented a holiday you always have memories of celebrating but everyone just thinks you are joking when you tell them what it is!
After attempting to convince Liu Zhang that Christmas really did exist!!! I ate some more food and it was really nice. I am becoming convinced that most of China is not rail tracks or people after all, but food! Only of course most of the food is in people!!!
Check out my new song! I hope to have an album soon and it will be called 'Forgetting How To Dance' or 'We Have Ground' or just 'Tom Vek' maybe. http://www.zshare.net/audio/532150974f67d962/

Day 1- Wutan
So I land off of the plane today and meet a man at the airport who will be my partner for the next 10 days. He am good. My name is Tom Vek, and I'm in China!!! I was in blackface on the plane which got me some funny looks I can tell you! But you have to go in disguise when you're a major music star like me!
My name is Tom Vek. Some people have started rumours about me like I'm in jail. Well I say fuck you jail!!!! Tom Vek says no crime. Please kids, don't!!! I'm not in jail. I'm in China. By the end of this trip I might be in a Chinese jail. But no.
So I already have gigs in China, which is nicE! Today Liu Zhang who is my manager in China got me a gig opening at a bar to about 600 people. This sounds like a lot but there are over 10x as many people in China, so really it was only 50 people. However I later managed to DOUBLE OVER TWICE the crowd by playing so well!!! I played lots of old hits which all the Chinese love I think it is due to the quite 'Asian' courd progressions! I also played new stuff which I am working on for my new album however this is much more experimental! I did 'You Smell The Cherries In Me' or whatever its called (I wrote it quite a long time ago) and then did 'This Things I Believe' at the end which is quite controversial for China as it is a political song!!! I hope the police don't mind but I don't think any of them were here. However everyone in China is very small so I might not have noticed. <---- THIS IS NOT RACIST!!!!!
Later on a girl gave me her phone number and wanted me to call her. This happens all the timwe in showbusiness! I phoned her but she was still standing right there so I didn't really see the point. This disappointed her however and as a result I failed to get any poon.
Catch ya tomorrow dudemeisters!!!!

Hey gang!!!!
My name is Tom Vek and I am a musician from London!!! A few years ago I had a big hit album called 'We Have Sound'. I went away for a while but recently I have been working really hard on a follow-up honest!!!! The other day an exciting opportunity appeared for me to tour China!!!! So I decided to go over there and bring my music to the masses of this fast-developing and deeply exciting country!!!
Over in London I'm a pretty big deal. People still remember me not just for my album but also because I am friends with some pretty big London deals like Dev and Semifinalists. In a recent list of 'Greatest Albums of This Millenium' my album came third to Test Icicles and Fleet Foxes. This is how amazing my record is.
China is really big and sometimes I eat weird food there!!!! This one time I played a computer game, then decided I didn't like vegetarians. I am in Hainan province!!! I killed a fox recently in the traditional Hainan style. Then I played a gig to some wide-eyed Chinese children, it was fun!!!
Hello internet!!!!! You're all cunts who don't like my music!!!!!
Yours deeply,
Tom Vek.
